9. Selling the Property
When you decide to sell your property, the first think is to decide whom to work with and at what price to sell the property. You will find out the price of the property by having different realtors going to your property to evaluate its condition and location, this is called a Tasación – Appraisal.

Call different real estate agencies and tell them that you are interested in selling your property, and that you want them to do an appraisal for you. Different agents will tell you different selling prices. Some will be extremely elevated, and this is usually a strategy from the real estate agency trying to get you to work with them by telling you a very high price, one that later will make it difficult to sell the property, and it might end up on the market longer than you had thought.
Realtor
As when you were buying a property, working with a realtor that you can communicate with is very important. The realtor you choose to sell your property will be in charge of showing it to the persons that are interested in buying it, and later taking their offers to you. Remember that some realtors will not tell you the offers of potential buyers because they consider that if they wait a little longer they will hear a higher offer from the same person, or from someone else.
If there was a person that went to your house and told you that he / she was interested in buying the property, ask for a phone number. That way if your realtor does not tell you about the offer that the person has made, you can call them to ask if they have left an offer or not.
Publishing the Property
The publication of the property will usually be taken care of by the realtor if you are working with one. They will publish the property in local newspapers and on the Internet. If the real estate agency has a web site, they will also publish the property there. It might be a good idea to make a simple search for the page through a search engine such as google.com to see if you can find the site easily. If you can not find the site, it is likely that potential buyers will have a hard time finding the site as well.
